2022 | Site-specific installation
How does a tree “protest”? In the context of the public debate around the extension of the A27 in Amelisweerd near Utrecht, studio Cream on Chrome collects voices and perspectives of animals, human organizations and plants around the forest. What are their true needs? And how can the many actors constituting the ecosystem of Amelisweerd be adequately represented in a debate? Set up as an interactive court hearing, the site-specific installation lets visitors activate pieces of eco-forensic evidence and experience testimonies of the main stakeholders. The multivocal debate unfolds the realities of living in more-than-human communities and takes a new turn on the preceding court cases on Amelisweerd.

Forensic Undergrowth is a collaboration with visual artist Lindsey Bundel | Commissioned by Creative Coding Utrecht for Gardening exhibition at Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd | Production assistant: Isa Matilde Bonino
